  • Cooling Mixers

    By maximizing the cooling surface area and having a highly rated cooling jacket, the proper turbulent flow can be created insuring high heat transfer rates in Reliance’s Horizontal and Vertical Cooler. Thick walls and extra flow bars attribute to fast cooling and a longer life. Reliance Vertical Coolers can be supplied with Cooling Cones and Humps to decrease cooling times. Horizontal Coolers can be supplied with jacketed End Plates to also facilitate in lower cooling times. Both designs can be supplied with larger discharge openings, drastically reducing cycle times and increasing overall production rates. Reliance Coolers are consistently giving SUB-6 MINUTE COOLING BATCHES due to their unique design parameters.

     

    Horizontal and Vertical Cooler Discharge: The larger the opening the faster the product discharges from the Cooler vessel. The faster material discharges, the faster it becomes available for the next batch from the mixer. Limit Switches are installed on the Discharge giving feedback as to when the valve is opened and closed. Horizontal Coolers can be supplied with Slide Gate Valves or with Flapper assemblies. Vertical Coolers are supplied with discharge plugs that are pneumatically operated.

    Horizontal and Vertical Cooler Tools: Reliance Vertical and Horizontal Cooling Tools are specially designed to continuously move material along the Vessel Jacket, insuring a rapid cooling period. They can be mirror finished or coated to increase the life of the Tool. Horizontal Cooler Tools consist of Paddles that are bolted on to the ends of Arms that are bolted together at the shaft. The Paddles cover the length of the Cooler Vessel along both Arms, thus ensuring that material is constantly being thrown against the wall of the Vessel. Vertical Cooler Tools ride along the bottom of the Cooler Bowl. Large units are bolted at a center hub near the Cooler Shaft.

    Horizontal and Vertical Cooler Jacket: The Horizontal and Vertical Cooler Jacket is the most important component for the Coolers functionality. The Flow Bars within the unit are designed and laid out to insure the turbulent flow that is mandatory for efficient use. Reliance Vertical Coolers are not only jacketed around the top Cylinder but are jacketed on the bottom plate of the Cooler as well. Vertical Coolers can also be supplied with Cooling Cones to increase the Cooling surface are of the unit. Reliance Horizontal Coolers are jacketed around the entirety of the cylinder and lid. They can also be jacketed around the End Plates as well.

    Horizontal and Vertical Cooler Lid: Reliance Horizontal and Vertical Cooler Lids are lifted with the assistance pneumatic of hydraulic cylinders. The number and size of the openings are tailored to the customer’s needs at no additional cost. The lid is made out of Stainless Steel and is sealed with a dove shape gasket to prevent any leakage.
