Reliance’s High Intensity Mixers combine powerful performance with user-friendly design. Available in Standard, Direct-Drive, and E-Series models, they are engineered to maximize production while minimizing maintenance downtime.
Reliance's discharge openings are designed for fast and efficient removal of material from the Mixer Bowl. The larger the opening, the faster the product discharges from the mixer bowl. For that reason, Reliance's High Intensity Mixer is supplied with up to 12′′ discharge openings to shorten cycle times.
Our High Intensity Mixer Lids are flanged dished ends that are machined flat and supplied with a dome-shaped gasket. This gasket supplies a leak-proof seal with the top ring of the mixer bowl. Mixer Lids are constructed out of Stainless Steel and can be mirror polished for easy cleaning. In addition, these can come in a Clam-Shell, Swivel, or Pivot / Tilt Design.
Tools are specially designed to fluidize material and create a deep vortex flow pattern within the Mixer Bowl. Additionally, these are self-cleaning and are supplied with a wear-resistant coating to extend the life of the tool. Uniquely engineered tools can be provided along with this type of Reliance Mixer to suit your mixing and application needs.
Deflectors are designed to turn the material into the vortex of the mixer. By forcing the material back into the center of the Mixers’ Bowl, a highly homogenized end product can be achieved. In addition, the frictional heat generated within the bowl increases due to the forced impaction of particles. Further, the Reliance High Intensity Mixer deflectors can be mounted on the lid of this Mixer or can be welded or bolted from the sidewall of its bowl. Thus, Reliance sidewall deflectors can be adjustable or fixed.
Bowls are made out of a Stainless-Steel construction. In terms of cleaning and cross-contamination concerns, this Reliance High Intensity Mixer Bowl is a specially engineered bowl that can be supplied in a twopiece design for applications and it can be made with or without a jacket. To elongate the life of the Mixer Bowl, the lower third of the bowl can be coated with a wear-resistant coating. Moreover, the bowl bottom can be made out of thicker material extending the natural life of the bowl material.
Bearing Housing are cast and precision machined. Accordingly, bearings can be easily changed out and the bottom section can be reassembled prior to start-up. Reliance's High Intensity Mixer Bearing Housings are made of a Two-Piece design which allows the bottom piece to be dropped without disassembling any of the major assemblies. In 500– 2500L units, the mixer bowl stays in place while the lower bearing housing drops from below. In 800–2500L units, the motor remains in place during this process significantly reducing downtime.
